鶹ý Of Counsel Alissa Nann is quoted in the Forbes article, “,” discussing the firm’s partnership with Black Connect, a national nonprofit business and entrepreneur center that is dedicated to eliminating the racial wealth gap facing Black Americans.
Black Connect, among other programs, offers business-related pro bono legal services to members. As part of their partnership, 鶹ý provides Black Connect members with business-related legal assistance and is available to help with pro bono or low-cost legal services on an ad hoc basis. The team also partners in special events and training opportunities, such as Black Connect’s Business Law Day at 鶹ý’s New York office in May 2023.
Nann said that while all small businesses need legal counsel on foundational areas like contracts, business formation, and intellectual property, Black entrepreneurs may have fewer legal contacts they can tap.
“It’s more about access,” Nann explained.
