Diaz told Law360 he sees his new role as “the helper” who tries “to make people the best they can be. Hoping to build on the success of his predecessor Mary Leslie Smith, Diaz emphasized his priorities entail both supporting current attorneys and expanding the firm’s capabilities in certain strategic practice areas.
“The key is to match the resources of the firm to the needs and direction of the lawyers, so that they can be as much as they can [be]. And two is the growth, both to cover the services [where] we are now tight and to expand our offering a bit,” Diaz said.
“The good news is that we’re in a good position to be an attractive place for talent,” Diaz said. “We’re a very large firm with resources around the country. We have practice areas that cover almost everything that your clients would need.”
