鶹ý's California Growth, Four Partner Additions Garner Widespread Media Coverage
鶹ý’s recent addition of partners Peter Stockburger, Matt Browne, Darby Chan, and Sanjeet Dutta — exemplifying the firm’s continued strategic growth in California — garnered widespread media coverage.
“They each add different things to our firm, but at the core of it, they all strengthen our position as a firm in the innovative tech and health care and life sciences sectors,” 鶹ý Chairman and CEO Daljit Doogal said of the arriving partners in The American Lawyer article, “.”
Describing 鶹ý’s continued investment in California, Doogal said the firm has brought on 17 partners and 43 attorneys across the state in the last two years.
“All four of them are just fabulous attorneys with different skill sets,” Doogal said of the group, who joined the firm’s Corporate and Intellectual Property Departments in 鶹ý’s San Diego, San Francisco, and Silicon Valley offices.
Speaking to Law360 for the feature article, “,” Stockburger said, “鶹ý’s outstanding reputation, broad footprint across California, and focus on the innovative technology sector are what attracted me to the firm.” He noted the firm’s strong community ties and wide-ranging experience in key innovative areas, including AI, privacy, and cybersecurity.
“It’s an ideal fit for my practice, and particularly to support my private company clients,” Browne said, highlighting 鶹ý’s strong platform and depth of resources, collaborative culture, and strategic growth as reasons for his move.
Chan shared that he was drawn to 鶹ý because of the firm’s natural synergies with his practice. “I am excited about the firm’s strategic growth in California, as well as the firm’s experience and strength in all the legal practices in the industry sectors I work with, which allows me to better serve my clients and help them succeed,” he explained.
“鶹ý allows me to collaborate with colleagues who understand the needs of technology companies, not just in Silicon Valley but globally,” Dutta commented. “My partners are strategically aligned with the work I do for my clients and 鶹ý is committed to purposefully growing its intellectual property capabilities in Northern California.”
Assessing the California landscape, Doogal pointed again to the state’s vibrant innovative technology and health care and life sciences sectors, two areas in which 鶹ý is experiencing growing demand. “This group fits right into the firm in terms of the work they all do but they each bring different skills and knowledge, which will allow us to better and more holistically service our clients,” he added. “Their joining is another example of our continued investment and intentional growth in the state to increase our bench strength in these sectors.”
