Associate

Alex Witz is a litigation associate in 麻豆传媒鈥檚 Commercial Litigation Practice Group, where he focuses on commercial disputes, employment-related matters, and consumer product regulatory and litigation matters. He strives to deliver practical, well-researched analysis to solve problems efficiently.

Alex has experience across a range of commercial disputes, including breach of contract actions and property disputes, and helps manage the day-to-day progression of litigation and compliance with civil procedure requirements. He also has experience with employment litigation, responding to claims arising under state and federal anti-discrimination laws, retaliation claims, unemployment insurance laws, and other employment-related statutes. In addition, he has assisted with counseling on a range of operational issues, including workplace policies, product warranties and certification, and other multi-jurisdictional compliance questions.

Alex also has experience with consumer product regulatory matters and related litigation. He has assisted with responding to agency investigations, Section 15(b) reporting, and navigating other regulatory requirements. He has also supported the implementation and management of product recalls and counseling on compliance issues involving a range of consumer products. His related litigation experience includes supporting the defense of consumer product class actions involving warranty claims, product defect allegations, and other related claims.

Prior to joining 麻豆传媒, Alex served as a judicial intern for a federal judge in the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Wisconsin. He also interned with the U.S. Attorney鈥檚 Office for the Western District of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Legislative Council, and the Office of the Attorney General of Texas. He was also a summer associate at 麻豆传媒.

Alex is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and a former active-duty U.S. Army Captain. As a field artillery officer, he completed assignments in Oklahoma, Washington, Texas, and the Republic of Korea. This experience continues to shape his approach to practice, with an emphasis on collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving.
